FAQ'S
Q: What do you do?
A: I take pictures that your child has drawn and turn them into soft pillow-like sculptures for them to love.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Doodle-O's generally cost between $35 and $75 (USD) depending on the complexity of the drawing. There is also a $10 shipping cost in North America. At this time, I am not accepting international orders.
Q: Where do they ship from?
A: Arkansas, USA
Q: How long does an order take?
A: That will vary depending on the number of orders currently waiting to be filled and the complexity of the drawing. When you contact me to request a Doodle-O, I will determine the complexity of the drawing and will give you an estimate. This should range between 1-2 weeks, unless of course I have received multiple requests during a time period.
Q: How do I order?
A: Simply email me a photograph (pdf or jpg) of the child's drawing at doodleosofties@gmail.com and I will let you know if I will be able to work with the drawing.
Q: Will you make corrections to my child’s drawing?
A: I believe that a child’s art is special. As such, I will make all attempts to copy it as closely as possible. I will not “fix” it, as I believe it is perfect as it is, 8 eyes, 6 fingers and all! However, if there are areas that have not been colored in, I reserve the right to exert creative liberties and choose fabrics/accessories to make the Doodle-O successful while maintaining the unique details of your child's drawing.
Q: How big will the Doodle-O be?
A: That will vary, but usually will range from 12 to 18 inches wide or tall. Of course, we can accommodate orders for a larger or smaller Doodle-O, based on the customer’s request.
Q: Will you copy well-known characters?
A: I will NOT make a Doodle-O of a copyrighted character, not even your child’s version of that copyrighted character..
Q: How old does my child need to be?
A: The artist should probably be at least 3, unless you have an incredibly talented two year old!. Older children will probably make drawings that are too detailed for me to turn into a Doodle-O, though. The simpler, the better.
Q: How do I clean my Doodle-O?
A: Materials will vary widely. Some of them may be machine washable, while others may have fabrics that could shrink or bleed. To be safe, wiping with a damp cloth would be best. Use your own common sense.
Q: Will my Doodle-O be safe for my child to play with?
A: All care will be taken to make your Doodle-O safe. I will not use plastic eyes or buttons that might be pulled off and swallowed or choked on by small children, unless you give me permission to do so. But, parental supervision and judgement are the best safety policy.
